Services

European Refugee Fund (ERF III)

This fund sponsors measures for the reception and integration of refugees and beneficiaries of subsidiary protection. As a central contact and service point for applicants and other interested persons, the ÖIF is responsible for evaluating, managing, and monitoring submitted projects.

Target Groups and Areas of Action

Target Groups

  • Asylum seekers
  • People granted subsidiary protection
  • People granted asylum

Unlike its predecessor, ERF II, voluntary returnees are not a target group of the ERF III. Overlapping return measures can also no longer be funded as a result of the separation into four different funds.

Areas of Action

  • Measure 2: Support in implementation of the Dublin Regulation
  • Measure 3: Projects on information for the resident population
  • Measure 4: Counseling in asylum procedure
  • Measure 5: Initial aid for integration
  • Measure 6: Development of linguistic competence
  • Measure 7: Job market integration
  • Measure 8: Quality assurance and structural improvement of asylum administrative practice
  • Measure 9: Collection of Country of Origin Information to support asylum procedure
