Trade specific German course for caregivers starts in July
The demand for caregivers is enormous. Many ÖIF clients are interested in the field of care and gathered experience in caring for the elderly in their country. Admission to training programs often fails due to the applicant's lack of German skills. For this reason the Austrian Integration Fund developed a German course in cooperation with various training institutes that is focused on vocabulary specific to working as a caregiver.
Registration open until July 16.
Anyone interested in home care or being a caregiver can register for the German course "Einstieg in die Pflege" until July 16. The two-month course prepares participants with language and content for the admission test to a training program. After passing the admission test at a training institute, it is possible to enroll in a free training program or be approved to work, which means that doors to the labor market are open. The German course is held at the B2 level and also offers participants the opportunity to job shadow for two days.
