Habibi - House of Education and Professional Integration opens its doors

The ÖIF has opened its new site, centrally located on Landstraßer Hauptstraße. Pursuing the concept of one-stop shopping, Habibi, the House of Education and Professional Integration, offers ÖIF's proven services in the areas of language, professional qualifications, the job market, and family. Habibi opens up new perspectives for beneficiaries of asylum or subsidiary protection and migrants. The first German class for recognized refugees started on March 22, along with job market coaching in the ÖIF Job Center.

ÖIF addresses key factors for successful integration by having these services under one roof. Habibi will offer the following services:

• general and job-specific language acquisition
• advanced qualifications
• labor market integration
• special programs for women and children
• fostering intercultural dialogue
• knowledge transfer between experts and key communicators

Not a "closed shop"

Important: Habibi is not a "closed shop". Collaborations with institutions and companies are strategically  developed. There will also be public events at the ÖIF House of Education and Professional Integration.

The official opening of the new site is planned for fall 2010.
