In cooperation with the children's book author, Karin Ammerer, Vastic and the Austrian Integration Fund have published the football book, "Gemeinsam gewinnen wir - Fußball verbindet" (Winning Together - Connecting through Football). The stories help young readers confront prejudices against other cultures and the issue of "foreignness".

Vastic is not the only one answering questions in the interview with Karin Ammerer. He also invited other well-known athletes to the interview. Veli Kavlak, Frenkie Schinkels, Kelly Kainz, Kate Allen, and Violetta Oblinger-Peters.  

Call to compete: looking for the "ÖIF Team of the Future"!

Based on the football story in the book, the ÖIF and Ivica Vastic are looking for two football teams, a girls' and a boys' team, that can convince us that they are the best "ÖIF Team of the Future". The competition's kick off event takes place on 23.09.09 with support from the SPORTUNION Vienna and RADO.
